“We are an Ecumenical Catholic Mission”
We are Catholic Christian communities that are committed to the person of
Jesus Christ and to His teaching. We accept and believe the testimony of
His apostles who were His first disciples and eyewitnesses of His life,
death, and resurrection from the dead. It was these same disciples who
passed on to the church their own testimony about the person of Jesus and
the events of His life. Embodied in their testimony are the very teachings of
Jesus Himself.
"The United Ecumenical Catholic Church welcomes you in the name of our Risen Lord, Jesus Christ! We
are a UNITED Church because we are an International fellowship of Churches in North America, the United
Kingdom and in Australasia. We are an ECUMENICAL Church because we welcome Christians from many
different faith denominations and churches. We are a CATHOLIC church because we proclaim the universal
catholic faith as taught by the Early Church and as gleaned from the 7 Ecumenical Councils of the Church.
We are not affiliated with the Church of Rome and we have many former Roman Catholics in our
congregations and clergy. This makes us a Catholic Church in the Independent Catholic Movement. We are
the CHURCH because we trace our Apostolic Lineage back to the Apostles and to the Head of our Church:
Jesus Christ.
We hold the traditional 7 Sacraments and are governed by an International Council of Bishops. We
encourage each local parish to hold to the faith Catholic while, the interpretation and proclamation of the
Gospel of Christ is carried out in differing cultures, languages and even symbols. We are therefore a Church
with different cultures and languages and yet being one in Christ Jesus. We are therefore part of the One,
Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. Perhaps you may have need of one of our clergy for sacramental or
pastoral assistance? Baptism, Marriage, Confirmation, Celebration of the Holy Eucharist, The Sacrament of
the Sick, and/or Memorial Services are available by contacting one of our clergy in this parish. Welcome
again to Saint Mary Magdalen Ecumenical Catholic Church!"
